'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first significant achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would certainly think about extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract negotiations could start in the near future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring performance continues to impress
